“Inspiration And Hard Work,” December 2022
Based in Urbana, Illinois, the artist Adrian Gottlieb (b. 1975) has been highly regarded in the world of contemporary realism for almost two decades. He is best known for his figurative pieces and portraiture, both official and personal, and is also admired for an uncanny ability to integrate radiant figures into realistic landscapes. What comes off his easel are people who are luminous — many seem to glow from within — and replete with both purpose and poise.

Michael Huffington is a film producer and founder of Huffington Pictures, based in the western US….Working directly with the artist is the most enjoyable and rewarding experience for me as a collector, he says. Nine portraits have come from the easel of Adrian Gottlieb (“one of the finest portraitists in the US today”), including portraits of Huffington and the director Niclas Gillis.

Enter his studio and you step into the sacred world of high art. There is a sense of quiet and peacefullness to the space, like a ballet studio when a master class is about to begin.
