Portrait of Kristen Barron

The portrait of Kristen Barron is an early charcoal commissioned to Adrian Gottlieb in 2005. Close friends of the artist, Kristen and her husband Jon are major patrons and collectors of Gottlieb, are residents of Los Angeles, and own and operate an international health supplement company. Kristen is also a watercolor and oil landscape artist with a membership to the Royal Watercolor Society in England. Along with commissioned work from Gottlieb, they also own a large number of his oil paintings and sketches. Still today, Gottlieb often draws a charcoal portrait before he starts an oil painting, although he does not always develop them to the full realization of this piece.
